The Veil of Becoming 8x10

The Veil of Becoming is a visual meditation on the fragile, energetic transition of early spring. It captures the exact moment when the landscape is caught between the dormant architecture of winter and the inevitable pulse of new life.

​Deep purples and dark, graphic lines represent the structural "not yet"—the shadows and branches that haven't yet surrendered to the green. Emerging through this dormancy are "shy" greens and light violet strokes, echoing the first vulnerable sprouts and early-blooming wildflowers.

​Central to the composition is a translucent white veil, a technique used to represent the act of "letting go." By seeing through these airy layers, the viewer witnesses the landscape shedding its winter weight and stepping into a luminous, rhythmic awakening.
